TORT

When you are involved in a motor vehicle accident, a tort claim arises. This is the claim against the at-fault party that caused the accident and their insurer. Generally, you have two years from the date of the accident to issue a claim in law against the third party.

To name a few, a tort claim can compensate you for:

  • Pain and suffering

  • Past and future lost income

  • Future loss of competitive advantage in your field of work

  • A delayed entry into work

  • Housekeeping expenses

  • Medical care and expenses

This is not an exhaustive list. There are additional requirements that may arise in relation to your tort claim. Please give us a call so we can provide you with a free consultation and answer any questions you may have.
